Pocketed Profits for Apple but Penalty for Chatterm

Missed to take profits last week when Apple went up to $169. Yesterday the price went up higher to $172, though there might be chance to ride the upwards trend, but risk is there too. If it fall, it could be sharp. I reckoned it was a decent profit hence I get out of the ship first.

Cut loss level was triggered yesterday after the price hit $72. The comfort of contigent order has allowed me to stay discipline and admit this was a wrong trade.

My sifu has taught me to keep losses small. When trade is correct ensure the wins are much more than when u lost a trade.

Consumer-goods maker Chattem Inc (CHTT.O: Quote, Profile, Research) reported a 9 percent rise in first-quarter profit as the brands it bought from Johnson & Johnson (JNJ.N: Quote, Profile, Research) continued to propel margins despite a weak retail environment, sending its shares up as much as 7 percent.

The company, which makes and sells over-the-counter drugs, toiletries, cosmetics and dietary supplements, also reaffirmed its fiscal 2008 profit outlook, citing continued growth of its key brands and the success of the new products it launched under existing labels.
Chattem has posted strong results each quarter since it shook hands with Johnson & Johnson in late 2006 to buy five of the pharmaceutical giant's brands.
